About:
I’m Corné Gieselbach, South African by birth, theologian by grace. Years of being part of a church-planting and preaching team convinced me that doctrine matters only when it blossoms into doxology, so I strive to live where study and worship meet.
Today, I teach theology at Theos Seminary and tend to a quiet corner of the internet on Substack, where I share bi‑weekly reflections on Scripture, sacrament, and the long wisdom of the Church. My books and short courses invite ordinary believers into ancient rhythms—Scripture read slowly, the Eucharist received gratefully, life prayed attentively.
Much of my ministry, though, happens offstage. I partner with pastors and ministry leaders across continents, helping them shape devotionals, leadership cohorts, and sermon‑series resources that let their people drink more deeply of Christ. Every project begins with listening: to a local church’s story, to its hopes, and to the Spirit at work among them.
Whether through a written page, a classroom discussion, or a quietly crafted resource, my aim is the same: to kindle love for the living God and to remind His people that theology is not an academic cul‑de‑sac but a path toward worship. If that resonates with you, I’m grateful our paths have crossed.
